WHEREAS, the City of Newark's ("City") Department of Health and Community Wellness provides childhood lead exposure prevention services for children six (6) months through children younger than seventeen (17) years of age under the Childhood Lead Exposure Prevention (CLEP) Program; and
WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Health, has made grant funds available to address blood lead levels between 3.5-4.9 ug/dL and conduct outreach to families.; and
WHEREAS, on or about February 23, 2024, the City was notified of additional grant funds in the amount of Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($12,500.00) (a copy of the Letter of Amendment is attached hereto and made a part hereof); and
WHEREAS, the City's Department of Health and Community Wellness desires to accept funds in the amount of Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($12,500.00); and
