WHEREAS, Duane Mickens, has been appointed as a Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R9-a adopted by the Municipal Council dated April 18, 2012; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, Duane Mickens, must give a bond in such form and amount as prescribed by the Governing Body and approved as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
The Constable Bond in the amount of $1,000.00 issued to Duane Mickens, 146 Brookdale Avenue, Newark, NJ, for a term commencing on April 4, 2012 and ending April 3, 2013, is approved as to form, amount and sufficiency.
The Municipal Council ratifies the acceptance of the bond to April 4, 2012.

This resolution authorizes Duane Mickens to a one-year term as Constable in the City of Newark, New Jersey.
