WHEREAS, on July 7, 2011, through Resolution 7R3-e (as) 070711, the City of Newark Municipal Council authorized the Mayor and/or his designee the Deputy Mayor/Director of the Department of Economic and Housing Development of the City of Newark to enter into and execute a grant agreement with International Youth Organization (“IYO”), for the period commencing on the date the grant agreement is authorized until twelve months thereafter, using $92,000.00 in funds granted to the City of Newark from the U.S. Department of Energy through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program for the creation and management of a Green Neighborhood Pilot Program, which includes weatherization training and services for at least 50 homes, the coordination and implementation of an education program on energy efficiency for households receiving weatherization services and possible providing of ...
