Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a Town Hall Meeting sponsored by Council Member Anibal Ramos, Jr., at the First Avenue School Cafeteria, 214 First Avenue, Newark, New Jersey, on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, between 6:30 P.M. and 9:00 P.M.; and
Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event, by approving the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the Newark Public Schools.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission may execute a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the Newark Public Schools for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of the First Avenue School Cafeteria, 214 First Avenue, Newark, New Jersey, on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, between 6:30 P.M. and 9:00 P.M.
2. That the City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless Agreement to the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
