WHEREAS, on April 24, 2012, the City of Newark through its Purchasing Director advertised to solicit bids for Interpretation and Document Translation Services, which the contractor will provide to the City of Newark, for the Department of Administration, Division of Office Services, and the Police Department, usage as described in the attached bid proposal; and

WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing solicited ten (10) prospective vendor (s) from its established bid list, and

WHEREAS, on May 10, 2012, two (2) bids were received in response to this advertisement; and

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director reviewed and evaluated the bids and recommends that an award be made to Geneva Worldwide, Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-24, the vendor agreed to hold their prices beyond 60 days; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 et seq., solicitations through public bidding in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et seq. meets the requirements of the fair and open process.
