Whereas, Heriberto Garcia has played a major role in the productivity of this community; and
Whereas, the residents of the City of Newark is very fond of the accomplishments of this consummate public servant; and
Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council wants to commemorate the progress made by Heriberto Garcia in the community by designating street signage in his honor for all residents to enjoy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT it does hereby authorize the naming of the corner of Summer Avenue and Verona Avenue as "Heriberto Garcia Plaza" for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
1. Naming of Summer Avenue and Verona Avenue as the Heriberto Garcia Plaza, for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
2. The names of said streets shall remain Summer Avenue and Verona Avenue in their entirety.
