WHEREAS, on July 6, 2012, the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities advertised to solicit bids for Contract 10-WS2012 Maintenance and Repair Sewer Netting Facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities distributed three (3) bid specification packages to prospective vendors following the date of advertising; and
WHEREAS, on July 17, 2012, two (2) bids were received in response to this solicitation; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities concludes from review and evaluation that an award be made to National Water Main Cleaning Co., the lowest responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-24, National Water Main Cleaning Co. agreed to hold their prices beyond 60 days; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 et seq., solicitation through the public bidding of Contract 10-WS2012 meets the requirements of the fair and open process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
