Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a Two Day Conference on Violence, sponsored by Council Member Ras J. Baraka at Central High School Auditorium, 246 18th Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07108 on Friday, November 16, 2012, 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. and Saturday November 17, 2012, 7:30 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. (alternate dates - Friday, November 9, 2012, 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. and Saturday, November 10, 2012, 7:30 A.M. until 9:00 P.M.).; and
Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification agreement for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Muncipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Central High School Auditorium, 246 18th Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07108 on Friday, November 16, 2012, 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. and Saturday November 17, 2012, 7:30 A.M. until 9:00 P.M.
