WHEREAS, on June 12, 2012, the City of Newark through its Purchasing Director advertised to solicit bids for Roofing Maintenance, Installation and Repair (Residential and Commercial Properties), which the contractor will provide to the City of Newark, for the Department of Economic & Housing Development, Division of Property Management usage as described in the attached bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing solicited twelve (12) prospective vendor(s) from its established bid list following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on June 28, 2012, four (4) bids were received in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director concludes from review and evaluation that an award be made to Rana Construction, Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-24, the vendor agreed to hold their prices beyond 60 days; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 et seq., solicitations through public bidding in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et seq....
