Whereas, at the request of the Municipal Council, the Department of Engineering is submitting a resolution to remove the bus stop on Maple Avenue nearside at Goldsmith Avenue; and
WHEREAS, New Jersey Transit does not recommend the removal of the bus stop on Maple Avenue nearside at Goldsmith Avenue; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A 39:4-197(3)(a), the following described location is deleted as a bus stop.
DELETED BUS STOP:
In the South Ward, along Maple Avenue, northbound on the easterly side thereof at:
Goldsmith Avenue - nearside
Beginning at the southerly curb line of Goldsmith Avenue and extending 105ft southerly therefrom.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by ordinance, resolution or regulation designate or delete a bus stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. In the South Ward, the following described bus stop location is hereby deleted:
Along Maple Avenue, northbound on the easterly side, at Goldsmith Avenue (nearside). Beginning at the southerly curb line of Goldsmith Avenue and extending 105ft southerly therefrom.
2. No Municipal funds need to be expended for this act.
3. No Amendment will be made to this resolution without the approval of the Municipal Council of the City of Newark.
