Whereas, Rose A. Leonardis has played a major role in the productivity of this community; and
Whereas, the residents of the City of Newark is very fond of the accomplishments of this consummate public servant; and
Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council wants to commemorate the progress made by Rose A. Leonardis in the community by designating street signage in her honor for all residents to enjoy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT it does hereby authorize the naming of the corner of Lafayette Street and Jefferson Street as Rose A. Leonardis Plaza for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
1. Naming the corner of the corner of Lafayette Street and Jefferson Street as Rose A. Leonardis Plaza for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
2. The names of said streets shall remain Lafayette Street and Jefferson Street in its entirety.
