WHEREAS, on January 17, 2014, the Department of Engineering, City of Newark, advertised for the receipt of bids for Contract #21-2013 Ironbound "B" Field Improvements, Saint Charles Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, pursuant to the Local Public Contracts Laws, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, on January 30, 2014, the eight (8) contractors, who picked up bid packages for Contract #21-2013 Ironbound "B" Field Improvements, were invited to do a visual inspection of the building; and
WHEREAS, on March 25, 2014, the scheduled date for the public opening of bids, four (4) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc., the consultant retained by the City of Newark, recommends that the contract be awarded to LandTek Group, Inc., 235 County Line Road, Amityville, New York 11701, the lowest responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Engineering has determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Newark to accept the bid proposal and execute Contract #21-2013 Ironbound "B" Field Improvements, S...
