WHEREAS, the residents of 368 Broad Street have submitted a petition for Permit Parking  on Spring Street, between Clay Street and 8th Avenue, in the Central Ward.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
 
      Section 1.  That Section 23:5-14e, Parking by Permit Only in Designated Residential Areas, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, be amended and supplemented by adding thereto the following:
 
Spring Street (368 Broad Street), west side between Clay Street and 8th Avenue
(Hours:  24 hours  /  Days:  Monday-Sunday)
 
     
      Section 2.    Regulatory signs shall be erected and maintained by the City of Newark.
 
      Section 3.  Any ordinance or parts thereof inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
 
      Section 4.  This ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
 
Section 5.  This ordinance does not require approval by the Commissioner of Transportation.
 
 
      
STATEMENT:
This ordinance allows parking by permit only on Spring Street between Clay Street and 8th Avenue, in the Central Ward.
