WHEREAS, Leonard Foote, III, has been appointed as a Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R9-F adopted at the September 17, 2014 meeting; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council wishes to amend the appointment date due to overdue receipt of the bond within thirty (30) days of the initial adoption; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, Leonard Foote, III, must give a bond in such form and amount as prescribed by the Governing Body and approved as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
The Constable in the amount of $1,000.00 issued to Leonard Foote, III, 179 Alexander Street, Newark, New Jersey 07106, for a period of three (3) years from the date of appointment or to the expiration of the Constable Bond whichever occurs first, is approved as to form, amount and sufficiency.
STATEMENT
This amended Resolution authorizes Leonard Foote, III, 179 Alexander Street, Newark, New Jersey 07106, to serve as a Constable in the City of Newark, New Jersey.
