WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $1,560,000.00 for the 910 - 964 Doremus Avenue Rear NFWF Grant and no provision has been made in the 2016 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose; and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose aforementioned; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution 7R3-a(S) dated September 22, 2015, the City of Newark accepted the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Grant in the amount of $1,560,000.00 to develop a comprehensive restoration design plan and enhance degraded wetlands and habitat work at the City-owned property located at 910 - 964 Doremus Avenue Rear, Block 5078, Lot 91 (East Ward).
