WHEREAS, King Haroon Perry was appointed as a Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R9-a adopted at the February 17, 2016 Municipal Council Meeting; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, King Haroon Perry, must give a bond within thirty (30) days of the initial adoption of the resolution of appointment, in such form and amount as prescribed by the Governing Body and approved as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The term of the Constable appointment of King Haroon Perry, is for a term of three (3) years from the date of appointment or to the expiration of the Constable Bond, whichever occurs first.
2. The Constable Bond, in the amount of $1,000.00 issued to King Haroon Perry, of 296 South 9th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07103, is approved as to form, amount and sufficiency.
STATEMENT
This resolution authorizes and approves as to form, amount and sufficiency, the Constable Bond posted for King Haroon Perry, of 296 South 9th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07103, who the Municipal Council appointed to serve as Constable in the City of Newark, New Jersey, for a term of three (3) years from the date of the Constable Bond to its expiration, whichever occurs first.
