Additional Information:
The Newark Fire Division desires to add 125 more radios to the number of radios that can use the State Radio System, thereby increasing the total number of radios that can use the State Radio System from 275 to 400.

WHEREAS, on or about October 1, 2013, the City of Newark Fire Department entered into a "New Jersey Interoperable Communications System (NJICS) User Agreement" with the New Jersey Office of Information and Technology, 300 Riverview Plaza, P.O. Box 212, Trenton, New Jersey 08625-0212 ("NJICS User Agreement") (a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof), for the purpose of allowing the Newark Fire Department to use the Statewide 700 MHz, P-25 Trunked Radio System ("State Radio System") for a period of five (5) years from October 1, 2013, through September 30, 2018; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution 7R6-a , adopted on June 24, 2014 (a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof), the Municipal Council of the City of Newark authorized and ratified the actions taken by the Mayor or his designee, the Fire Director of the City of Newark, to enter into said NJICS User Agreement; and
