WHEREAS, on November 29, 2016, the City of Newark through its Supervising Procurement Specialist advertised to solicit bids for Maintenance and Repair: Swimming Pools, which the contractor will provide to the City of Newark, for the Department of Public Works' usage as described in the attached bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing also solicited eight (8) bids from prospective vendor (s) from its established bid list; and
WHEREAS, on December 15, 2016, four (4) bids were received in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works recommends that an award be made to Rana Construction, Inc., 430 Madison Avenue, Elizabeth, New Jersey 07201, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, the Supervising Procurement Specialist concurs from review and evaluation with the recommendation that the award be made to Rana Construction, Inc., 430 Madison Avenue, Elizabeth, New Jersey 07201, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and
