WHEREAS, on December 28, 2016, the City of Newark, through its Supervising Procurement Specialist, advertised to solicit bids for Maintenance and Repair: Elevators, Thirty-One (31) Elevators and Two (2) Chairlifts, which the contractor will provide to the City of Newark, for the Department of Public Works' usage as described in the attached bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing also solicited ten (10) bids from prospective vendor (s) from its established bid list, and
WHEREAS, on January 12, 2017 the Division of Central Purchasing received three (3) bids in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works recommends that an award be made to Big Apple Elevator Service and Consulting, LLC, 35-21 9th Street, New York, New York 11106, the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder; and for the provision of Maintenance and Repair: Elevators, Thirty-One (31) Elevators and two (2) Chairlifts, for the City of Newark.
