WHEREAS, at the request of the Department of Engineering and review of the traffic operations by New Jersey Transit in conjunction with the City of Newark, Division of Traffic and Signals and pursuant to N.J.S.A 39:4-197(3)(a), the following described location is designated as a bus stop:
ADDED BUS STOP:
1. In the East Ward, along Wilson Avenue, westbound on the northerly side thereof:
Doremus Avenue, farside
Beginning at the westerly curbline of Doremus Avenue and extending 160ft westerly therefrom.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by ordinance, resolution or regulation designate or delete a bus stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. In the East Ward, the following described location is hereby designated as a bus stop, along Wilson Avenue, westbound on the northerly side, at Doremus Avenue (farside) beginning at the westerly curb line of Doremus Avenue and extending 160ft westerly therefrom.
2. No Municipal funds need to be expended for this act.
3. No amendment will be made to this resolution without the approval of the Municipal Council of the City of Newark.
4. Upon approval, the Engineering Department will forward a copy of this resolution to the City Clerk's Office to notify them of the Local Government's approval for the designation of a bus stop as stated.
