WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-120, Anthony Garcia, of 19 Highland Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, was appointed as a Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R8-e adopted at the April 19, 2017 Regular Municipal Council Meeting; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, Anthony Garcia, must give a bond, approved as to form, amount and sufficiency by the Acting Corporation Counsel and the Municipal Council; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-121, a constable must qualify within thirty (30) days of the initial adoption of the resolution of appointment, and shall hold office for a term of three (3) years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Constable appointment of Anthony Garcia, 19 Highland Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, is for a term of three (3) years from the date of appointment or the expiration of the Constable Bond, whichever occurs first.
2. The Constable Bond, in the amount of $1,000.00 issued to Anthony Garcia, of 19 Highland Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, is approved as to form, amount and sufficiency.
