WHEREAS, facilities for the legal dispensing of medical marijuana are in the process of being established throughout the State of New Jersey; and
WHEREAS, the location of such a facility in the City of Newark would be beneficial to the health, welfare, and well-being of the residents of the City of Newark.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Newark Municipal Council does hereby evidence its’ intent to welcome the establishment of a facility for the legal dispensing of medical marijuana within the borders of the City of Newark.
