WHEREAS, the City of Newark advertised Contract 12-WS2018 Phase-1(B) Lead Service Line Replacement located at various locations in the City of Newark, on October 22, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities distributed thirteen (13) bid packages to prospective vendors following the date of bid advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on November 21, 2018, the Department received six (6) bids for said project in accordance with Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, Roman E&G Corp., 15 Ogden Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104 submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid, according to the specifications and in the total amount of $2,593,250.00 for the base bid, and in the total amount of $218,870.00 for the supplemental bid, with a combined base bid and supplemental bid total amount of $2,812,120.00; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newark wishes to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid submitted by Roman E&G Corp, on November 21, 2018, and execute Contract 12-WS2018 Phase-1(B) Lead Service Line Replacement, with Roman E&G Corp., 15 Ogden Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for the combined...
