WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Port Security Grant Program (PSGP), directly supports and provides funds for transportation infrastructure security activities to implement Area Maritime Security Plans and facility security plans among port authorities, facility operators, state and local government agencies required to provide port security services; and

WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Public Safety, Fire Division wishes to obtain funding from the FY 2018 PSGP to provide safe operation and timely notification of all confirmed maritime distress incidents to all potential response agencies by obtaining funding for Quick Response Fireboats with Motors and Trailers; and

WHEREAS, on or about June 11, 2018, on behalf of the City of Newark, the Director of Public Safety, submitted an application to the United States Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, requesting grant funding in the total amount of $44,312.00 for Two (2) Zodiac Quick Response Fireboats...
