WHEREAS, the City of Newark is desirous of having a healthy and well-educated populace; and
WHEREAS, Community Health Day provides the community access to health information, education and vital health screenings; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support of Community Health Day, a collaboration between Sussex Avenue School and Council Member, Eddie Osborne, being held at the Sussex Avenue School, 304-310 Sussex Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104 (4th Street between Gould Place and Sussex Avenue and Sussex Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets), on Friday, June 14, 2019, from 10:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby support Community Health Day, to be held at Sussex Avenue School, located at 304-310 Sussex Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104 (4th Street between Gould Place and Sussex Avenue and Sussex Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets), on Friday, June 14, 2019, from 10:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.
2. The Municipal Council is co-sponsoring this special event and waives the City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fee ($50.00), however, it does not waive insurance coverag...
