The City of Newark's Special Event Application Fee ($50.00) for street closure will be waived.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide wholesome family entertainment that allows residents the opportunity to gather and renew old acquaintances and establish new ones; and
WHEREAS, the Rose Terrace Block Association Party sets an example for other South Ward communities on how to strengthen and improve their communities through social interactions and family gatherings; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of the Rose Terrace Block Association Party, to be held on Rose Terrace between South 10th Street and Rose Street, on Saturday, August 24, 2019, from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the Rose Terrace Block Association Party to be held on Rose Terrace between South 10th Street and Rose Street, on Saturday, August 24, 2019, from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M.
2. The Municipal Council is co-sponsoring this special event and waives the City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fee ($50.00), however, it does not waive insurance coverage requirements due to be provided by event organizers or costs above service charges described in R.O. 5:10-1 et seq.
