WHEREAS, the City of Newark provides case management and environmental investigation services for children with elevated blood levels in accordance with N.J.A.C. 8:51; outreach and education to the public, health care providers, and other professionals about the importance of age-appropriate blood lead screenings, lead exposure, and healthy housing; and

WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) has made grant funds available for the provision of such services through the Childhood Lead Program; and

WHEREAS, on April 18, 2019, on behalf of the City of Newark, the Director of the Department of Health and Community submitted an application to NJDOH requesting grant funding in the amount of $1,887,000.00 from the Childhood Lead Program for case management and environmental investigation services ...
