WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Public Safety, Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security ("OEM") requests to enter into and execute a contract with University Hospital ("UH") an instrumentality of the State of New Jersey, corporate and politic, having its principal offices at 150 Bergen Street, Newark, New Jersey 07103; and

WHEREAS, the City of Newark was awarded $150,000.00, ($75,00.00 for equipment, $75,000.00 for training) from the FY2017 Urban Areas Security Initiative Grants Funds ("UASI") for training purposes by New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, which shall fund this service (a copy is attached hereto and made a part hereof); and

WHEREAS, the City of Newark adopted Resolution 7R9-c on January 10, 2018, accepting the grant funds from the UASI, which does not require municipal funds for the receipt or acceptance of the funds; and
