WHEREAS, the City of Newark (the "City") advertised Contract 25-WS2019 Pequannock Water Treatment Plant Roof Replacement, on December 9, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities (the "Department") distributed ten (10) bid packages to prospective vendors following the date of bid advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on January 14, 2020, the Department received five (5) bids for said Project in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, MAK Group, LLC, 40 Summit Avenue, Clifton, New Jersey 07013, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid, according to the specifications and in the total amount of $1,497,758.00; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to accept the lowest responsible bid submitted by MAK Group, LLC, on January 14, 2020, and execute Contract 25-WS2019 Pequannock Water Treatment Plant Roof Replacement, with MAK Group LLC, 40 Summit Avenue, Clifton, New Jersey 07013, for the total amount $1,497,758.00; and
