WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of Four Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($400,000.00) for the New Jersey Victim Assistance Grant (North Ward Project), and no adequate provision has been made in the 2020 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose, and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the same; and
WHEREAS, by the award letter dated August 23, 2019, the State of New Jersey, Office of the Attorney General, Department of Law and Public Safety awarded the City of Newark the New Jersey Victim Assistance Grant (North Ward Project) in the amount of Four Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($400,000.00).
