Whereas, the Firefighters League of Activities Mentoring and Education, F.L.A.M.E., a New Jersey Nonprofit Organization, 35 Monticello Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07106 wishes to donate 100,000 PPE surgical masks to the Department of Public Safety, Fire Division (Fire Division) to assist the Fire Division and the community they are sworn to protect from the danger of covid-19 exposure; and
Whereas, the donation is through Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, charitable giving #72886197 via the Trenton Fire Department; and
Whereas, neither F.L.A.M.E. nor Bristol-Myers Squibb company have been promised anything in return for this gift and expects nothing in return from the City of Newark and/or Fire Division for this gift; and
Whereas, the Fire Division wishes to accept the donation of 100,000 PPE surgical masks for the protection and safety of its firefighters and the community; and
Whereas, the City of Newark will not incur any cost or expend any funds to accept this gift of 100,000 masks.
