The City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fees ($50.00) for street closure will be waived.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide wholesome family entertainment and education that allows residents the opportunity to gather and renew old acquaintances and establish new ones; and
WHEREAS, South 16th Street Block Party will provide the City of Newark the perfect opportunity to celebrate the growth of the West Ward and West Side areas, Back-to-School and business for residents and families; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of the South 16th Street Block Party, to be held at 529 South 16th Street between 15th Avenue and 16th Avenue, on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the South 16th Street Block Party, to be held at 529 South 16th Street between 15th Avenue and 16th Avenue, on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M,
2. The Municipal Council is co-sponsoring this special event and waives the City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fee of Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($50.00), however, it does not waive insurance coverage req...
