WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Engineering, Division of Traffic and Signals (the "City"), advertised for receipt of bids on June 10, 2022, for street paving for Contract #2022-02, Citywide Streets 2022; and
WHEREAS, on June 23, 2022, the City provided vendors who picked up a bid with Addendum #1; and
WHEREAS, on July 7, 2021, the City received four (4) bids for Contract #2022-02, Citywide Streets 2022 in the City of Newark; and
WHEREAS, based on a review of the bids, the Acting Director of the Department of Engineering desires to accept the bid proposal submitted by the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, JA Alexander, Inc., 130-158 JFK Drive, Bloomfield, New Jersey 07003 and enter into and execute Contract #2022-02, Citywide Streets 2022, for the total bid amount not to exceed Five Million Two Hundred Fourteen Thousand Four Hund...
