WHEARES, the City's Department of Health and Community Wellness provides medical care services pursuant to and consistent with Health Care Program Statutes (Section 330 of Public Health Services Act: 42 U.S.C. ? 254(b), Program Regulation (43 CFR part 51 and 42 CFR 56.201) for Community and Migrant Health Centers and Grant Regulations (42 CFR part 74), Affordable Health Care Act; and
WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Health, Division of HIV, STD and TB Services has made grant funds available for the provision of such services; and
WHEREAS, on or about April 1, 2022, on behalf of the City of Newark (the "City"), the Director of the Department of Health and Community Wellness electronically filed an application to the New Jersey Department of Health, Division of HIV, STD and TB Services, P.O. Box 360, Trenton, New Jersey 08625-0363, requesting grant funding for the continued provision of health care services to the medically underserved populated areas, which includes the City of Newark (a copy of the application is attached hereto and made a part hereof); and
