The Senior Day Recognition Parade, hosted by Malcolm X. Shabazz High School will start on Bergen Street and West Bigelow Street and end on West Alpine Street and Hillside Avenue from 11:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M.
The City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fees ($500.00) for street closure and parade will be waived.

WHEREAS, the City of Newark is desirous of providing meaningful activities for residents exposing them to various diverse community and wholesome family activities; and
WHEREAS, the "Senior Day Recognition Parade", hosted by Malcolm X. Shabazz High School, provides the community with the perfect opportunity to collaborate with various support groups, families and friends of their community and in the appreciation of arts and culture; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of the "Senior Day Recognition Parade", hosted by Malcolm X. Shabazz High School, will start on Bergen Street and West Bigelow Street and end on West Alpine Street and Hillside Avenue, on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the "Senior Day Recognition Parade" hosted by Malcolm X. Shabazz High School, will start on Bergen Street and West Bigelow Street and end on West Alpine Street and Hillside Avenue, on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M.
