Whereas, Resolution # 7R1-d(s) adopted on March 22, 2022, by the Municipal Council authorized Main Pool and Chemical Company, Inc., 110 Commerce Road, DuPont, Pennsylvania 18641, to provide Hypochlorite, Liquid Sodium (Swimming Pool Disinfectant) at an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($100,000.00) for a period not to exceed twenty- four (24) consecutive months pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-15; and
Whereas, the Division of Central Purchasing mailed the contracts to Main Pool and Chemical Company, Inc., to execute the contract and provide accompanying mandatory documents required at execution; and
Whereas, Main Pool and Chemical Company, Inc. notified the Division of Central Purchasing stating they would not accept the contract award; and
Whereas, the Department of Administration, Division of Central Purchasing wishes to rescind Resolution #7R1-d(s) adopted on March 22, 2022 to contract with Main Pool and Chemical Company, Inc., 110 Commerce Road, DuPont, Pennsylvania 18641 to provide Hypochlorite, Liquid Sodium (Swimming Pool Disinfectant).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
Resolution # 7R1-d(s) adopted on March 22, 2022, by the Municipal Council awarding a contract to Main Pool and Chemical Company, Inc., 110 Commerce Road, DuPont, Pennsylvania 18641, to provide Hypochlorite, Liquid Sodium (Swimming Pool Disinfectant) in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($100,000.00) for a period not to exceed twenty- four (24) consecutive months pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-15 is rescinded and null and void.
STATEMENT
This resolution rescinds Resolution #7R1-d(s) adopted on March 22, 2022 for the award of a contract to Main Pool and Chemical Company, Inc., 110 Commerce Road, DuPont, Pennsylvania 18641, to provide Hypochlorite, Liquid Sodium (Swimming Pool Disinfectant) in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($100,000.00) for a period not to exceed twenty-four (24) consecutive months pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-15.
