WHEREAS, on March 19, 2024, a Pre-Meeting of the Municipal Council was convened in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, during said Pre-Meeting the Municipal Council desired to discuss under closed session attorney-client privileged matters pertaining to Settlement of Workers’ Compensation and a Settlement of a Civil Litigation; and
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 10:4-12(b)(7) authorizes the exclusion of the public from discussions concerning said matters; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council by this Resolution adopted at said Pre-Meeting on March 19, 2024, commencing at 11:06 A.M. and ending at 11:27 A.M. voted to exclude the public from said discussion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The part of the Pre-Meeting of the Municipal Council containing the discussion on such session, attorney-client privileged matters pertaining to Settlement of Workers’ Compensation and a Settlement of a Civil Litigation is closed to the members of the public under the provisions of N.J.S.A. 10:4-12(b)(7).

This Resolution authorizes an Executive Session during a Pre-Meeting held on March 19, 2024.
