WHEREAS, on April 23, 2024, a Pre-Meeting of the Municipal Council was convened in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, during said Pre-Meeting the Municipal Council desired to discuss under closed session attorney-client privileged matters pertaining to the tactics and techniques used in protection of the safety and property of the public; and
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 10:4-12(b)(7) authorizes the exclusion of the public from discussions concerning said matters; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council by this Resolution adopted at said Pre-Meeting on April 23, 2024, commencing at 12:06 P.M. and ending at 1:10 P.M. voted to exclude the public from said discussion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The part of the Pre-Meeting of the Municipal Council containing the discussion on such session, attorney-client privileged matters pertaining to the tactics and techniques used in protection of the safety and property of the public is closed to the members of the public under the provisions of N.J.S.A. 10:4-12(b)(7).
