WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in the Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of One Hundred Nineteen Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Two Dollars and Zero Cents ($119,372.00) for the Local Public Health Infrastructure Grant Program, and no adequate provision has been made in the 2026 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose; and
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by Notice of Grant Award dated August 05, 2026, the State of New Jersey Department of Health, Division of Local Public Health awarded the City of Newark funding in the amount of One Hundred Nineteen Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Two Dollars and Zero Cents ($119,372.00).
