WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting The Annual Golden Senior Event at Stephen Crane Elderly, at Casa Seabra, 255 Jefferson Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Casa Seabra, 255 Jefferson Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Casa Seabra, 255 Jefferson Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Casa Seabra, 255 Jefferson Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, for The Annual Golden Senior Queen Event, on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Casa Seabra, 255 Jefferson Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This Resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of Casa Seabra, 255 Jefferson Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Casa Seabra, 255 Jefferson Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M., for The Annual Golden Senior Queen Event, sponsored by Council Member, Luis A. Quintana.
