WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting an East Ward Career Expo at Prudential Arena, 25 Lafayette Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, to be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Prudential Arena, 25 Lafayette Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Prudential Arena, 25 Lafayette Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for an East Ward Career Expo, to be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.
2. The Acting City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Prudential Arena, 25 Lafayette Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This Resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Prudential Arena, 25 Lafayette Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Prudential Arena, 25 Lafayette Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for an East Ward Career Expo to be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M., sponsored by Council Member, Michael J. Silva.
