WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 7R3-G adopted September 6, 2012, the Municipal Council authorized the Deputy Mayor/Director of the Department of Economic and Housing Development on behalf of the Business Administrator and the City of Newark to enter into and execute a fair and open Sub-recipient Agreement with Catholic Charities of the Archdioceses of Newark, Bishop Francis Immigration Center, for the purpose of providing physical rehabilitation services to its facility located at 976 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102 in an amount not to exceed $26,071.00; and
WHEREAS, the Deputy Mayor/Director of the Department of Economic & Housing Development wishes to amend Resolution 7R3-G090612 and the Sub-recipient Agreement authorized therein to extend the term of the Sub-recipient Agreement from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012 to January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2013 to allow the Sub-recipient to complete the physical rehabilitation services to its facility located at 976 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102 .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
- The Mayor and/or his designees, the Business Administrator and the Deputy Mayor/Director of the Department of Economic & Housing Development, are hereby authorized to enter into and execute a First Amended Sub-recipient Agreement with Catholic Community Services at 976 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102 , (Sub-recipient) to extend the term of the Sub-recipient Agreement from January 1, 2012 through December 31,2012 to January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2013 to allow the Sub-recipient to complete the physical rehabilitation services to its facility, 976 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
- The First Amended Sub-recipient Agreement between the City of Newark and the Sub-recipient is hereby ratified from January 1, 2013 to the date of adoption of this authorizing Resolution.
- No additional City funds are required for the First Amended Sub-Agreement.
- Except as amended herein all other terms approved and authorized by Resolution 7R3-G 090612 shall remain in full force and effect.
- The First Amended Sub-recipient Agreement is in compliance with the Local Public Contracts Law including, but, not limited to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4.1(b)(2) and/or N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5, and Community Development Block Grant, 24 CFR 135 (section #3 reporting requirements) and 24 CFR. 570.201(c).
- An executed copy of the First Amended Sub-recipient Agreement shall be filed with the Office of the City Clerk by the Deputy Mayor/Director of the Department of Economic & Housing Development on behalf of the Business Administrator.
STATEMENT
This resolution ratifies and authorizes the Mayor and/or his designees, the Business Administrator and the Deputy Mayor/Director of the Department of Economic & Housing Development, to enter into and execute a First Amended Sub-recipient Agreement with Catholic Community Services to extend the term of the Sub-recipient Agreement from January 1, 2012 through December 31,2012 to January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2013 to allow the Sub-recipient to complete the physical rehabilitation services to its facility, 976 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
