WHEREAS, Elaine McDaniels is the Owner of the residential property located at 459 South 15TH Street, Newark, New Jersey 07103, also known as Block 328, Lot 13.02 (the “Property”); and
WHEREAS, On June 30, 2016, Elaine McDaniels submitted an application to the City of Newark Department of Engineering, Divisions of Inspections and Enforcement, for an inspection for a Certificate of Code Compliance, in furtherance of the sale of the Property, and paid the City Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($250.00), Certificate of Code Compliance Account No. 54120-L1; and
WHEREAS, Elaine McDaniels decided not to move forward with the sale and informed the City to cancel her inspection request for a Certificate of Code Compliance. As a result, the City wishes to issue her a refund of her application fee in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($250.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Director of the City of Newark Department of Finance is hereby authorized to issue a refund check to Elaine McDaniels, 459 South 15th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07103, in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($250.00), for the Certificate of Code Compliance inspection application fee, as a result of a cancelled sale of property located at 459 South 15th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07103.
2. Attached hereto is a Certification of Funds issued by the Director of the Department of Finance which states that there are available sufficient legally appropriated funds in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($250.00), for the purpose set forth herein above and which states that the line appropriation of the official budget which shall be charged is:

3. The original resolution shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk by the Director of the Department of Engineering.
STATEMENT
This Resolution authorizes the Director of the Department of Finance to issue a refund check in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($250.00) to Elaine McDaniels, for the refund of the fee paid for an inspection for a Certificate of Code Compliance as a result of a cancelled sale of property located at 459 South 15th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07103.
