WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, James T. Morrison, of 14 Yates Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112 was appointed as Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R9-a adopted at the June 15, 2016 Regular Municipal Council Meeting; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, James T. Morrison, must give a bond within thirty (30) days of the initial adoption of the resolution of appointment in such form and amount as prescribed by the Governing Body and approved as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The term of the Constable appointment of James T. Morrison, 14 Yates Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112 is for a period of three (3) years from the date of appointment or the expiration of the Constable Bond, whichever occurs first.
2. The Constable Bond, in the amount of $1,000.00 issued to James T. Morrison, of 14 Yates Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, is approved as to form, amount and sufficiency.
STATEMENT
This resolution authorizes and approves as to form, amount and sufficiency, the Constable Bond posted by James T. Morrison, 14 Yates Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112 to serve as Constable in the City of Newark, New Jersey, for a period of three (3) years from the date of appointment or the expiration of the Constable Bond, whichever occurs first.
