WHEREAS, Willard A. Wilson, of 442 Badger Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112 was appointed as a Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R9-a adopted at the January 6, 2016, Regular Municipal Council Meeting; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, Willard A. Wilson, must give a bond within thirty (30) days of the initial adoption of the resolution of appointment, in such form and amount as prescribed by the Governing Body and approved as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council wishes to amend the term of appointment, in part due to the overdue receipt of the Bond and approve the form, amount and sufficiency of the Constable Bond.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The term of the Constable appointment of Willard Wilson, of 442 Badger Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112 is amended from January 6, 2016 to January 28, 2016, for a period of three (3) years
2. The Resolution 7R9-a, adopted on January 6, 2016 is hereby amended accordingly.
3. The Constable Bond in the amount of $1,000.00, issued to Willard A. Wilson, of 442 Badger Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, is approved as to form, amount and sufficiency.
STATEMENT:
This resolution hereby amends the appointment commencement date and approves the Constable Bond, as to form, amount and sufficiency posted for Willard A. Wilson, of 442 Badger Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, who was appointed to serve as Constable in the City of Newark, New Jersey, commencing on January 28, 2016, for a term of three (3) years.
