The event will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

The City’s Special Event Application Permit Fees of $100.00 will be waived.

 Whereas, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide an essential service to the resident of Newark, while also brining attention and awareness to an issue that effects all segments of the society; and

 

Whereas, the 2025 Annual Coachman’s Block Party, will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2025, on 19th Avenue between South 14th Street and 15th Street from the hours of 12:00P.M.  until 8:00 PM.  The fees for the application $50.00 and the permit $50.00 totaling $100.00 will be waived for the event; and

 

    Whereas, the 2025 Annual Coachman’s Block Party, provides the City of Newark the perfect opportunity to collaborate with various support groups and organizations that will participate in this event to bring attention to the health awareness, issues, while providing vital services to individuals and families who need the resources being offered; and

 

Whereas, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of the 2025 Annual Coachman’s Block Party to be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025 from the hours of 12:00 P.M. until 8:00 PM.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

 

1.                     The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the 2025 Annual Coachman’s Block Party to be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, located on 19th Avenue, between South 14th Street and South 15th Street from the hours of 12:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

 

2.                     The Municipal Council is co-sponsoring this special event and waives the City of Newark’s fees for the application $50.00 and the permit $50.00 totaling $100.00.

 

STATEMENT

 

This resolution supports and declares co-sponsorship by the Municipal Council of the 2025 Annual Coachman’s Block Party’s waiving the City of Newark’s Special Event Permit and Application Fees for an event held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from the hours of 12:00 P.M. until 8:00 PM. This Resolution is sponsored by The Honorable Luis A. Quintana, Council-Member-at-Large.
