Whereas, Abraham Maury, of 354 North 5th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104 was appointed as a Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R9-g adopted at the June 15, 2016, Regular Municipal Council Meeting; and
Whereas, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, Abraham Maury, must give a bond within thirty (30) days of the initial adoption of the resolution of appointment, in such form and amount as prescribed by the Governing Body and approved as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The term of the Constable appointment of Abraham Maury, 354 North 5th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104 is for a period of three (3) years from the appointment or the expiration of the Constable Bond, whichever occurs first.
2. The Constable Bond, in the amount of $1,000.00, issued to Abraham Maury, of 354 North 5th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07107, is approved as to form, amount and sufficiency.
STATEMENT
This resolution hereby authorizes and approves as to form, amount and sufficiency the Constable Bond posted by Abraham Maury, 354 North 5th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07107, who was appointed to serve as Constable in the City of Newark, New Jersey, for a period of three (3) years from the date of appointment or the expiration of the Constable Bond, whichever occurs first.
