WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the 16th Annual Kids’ Day Event at Independence Park at Van Buren Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105 sponsored by Councilman August Amador on Saturday, September 30, 2017 (Rain Date: Sunday, October 1, 2017), from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event for the benefit of Newark residents by supporting the issuance of a is Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 15 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, and if inclement weather, festivities will take place on a Rain Date of Sunday, October 1, 2017.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 15 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Independence Park at Van Buren Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105 for the 16th Annual Kids’ Day Event on Saturday, September 30, 2017 (Rain Date: Sunday, October 1, 2017), from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 15 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This resolution hereby supports the issuance, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 15 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Independence Park at Van Buren Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105 for the 16th Annual Kids’ Day Event on Saturday, September 30, 2017 (Rain Date: Sunday, October 1, 2017), from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. sponsored by Councilman, Augusto Amador.
