WHEREAS, Takia Smith was authorized by Tritop Realty, LLC, to act on their behalf for the sale of residential property, 248 Vassar Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, also known as Block 3719.03, Lot 27, South Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, on September 21, 2016, Takia Smith submitted an application to the City of Newark, Department of Engineering, Division of Inspections and Enforcement, for an inspection for a Certificate of Code Compliance in furtherance of the sale of the above residential property and paid the City Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($250.00), Certificate of Code Compliance Account No. 5412-L1; and

 

WHEREAS, Takia Smith decided not to move forward with the sale and informed the City to cancel her inspection request for a Certificate of Code Compliance. As a result, the City wishes to issue her a refund of her application fee in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($250.00) by way of prior year revenue reimbursement.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

 

1.                     The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to issue a refund check to Takia Smith, 2835 College Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32205-7460, on behalf of Tritop Realty, in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($250.00), for the Certificate of Code Compliance inspection application fee, as a result of a cancelled sale of property located at 248 Vassar Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, by way of prior year revenue reimbursement.

 

2.                     Attached hereto is a Certification of Funds issued by the Director of Finance of the City of Newark, which states that there are available sufficient, legally appropriated funds in the amount of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($250.00), for the purpose set forth herein above and which states that the line appropriation of the official budget which shall be charged is:

This Resolution authorizes the Director of Finance of the City of Newark, to issue a refund check in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($250.00), to Takia Smith, 2835 College Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32205-7460, on behalf of Tritop Realty, LLC, for the refund of the fee paid for an inspection for Certificate of Code Compliance, as a result of a cancelled sale of property located at 248 Vassar Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, by way of prior year revenue reimbursement.
