WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a Summer Cook-Out at Stephen Crane Village, One Stephan Crane Plaza; Stephen Crane Elderly, 900 Franklin Avenue, Newark, New Jersey and Stephen Crane Elderly, 801 N. 6th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07107, on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.; Tuesday, August 24, 2021 and Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Stephen Crane Village, One Stephan Crane Plaza; Stephen Crane Elderly, 900 Franklin Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07107 and Stephen Crane Elderly, 801 N. 6th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07107, for a Summer Cook-Out, on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.; Tuesday, August 24, 2021 and Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This Resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Stephen Crane Village, One Stephan Crane Plaza; Stephen Crane Elderly, 900 Franklin Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07107 and Stephen Crane Elderly, 801 N. 6th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07107 on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.; Tuesday, August 24, 2021 and Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M., for a Summer Cook-Out, sponsored by Council Member, Anibal Ramos, Jr.
